SUSTAINABILITY AT WELAND
Sustainability forms a natural part of how we develop our products, produce our solutions, and run our business. For us, sustainability is about taking responsibility for the climate and the resources at our disposal, for creating a safe workplace and pursuing responsible business practices with a long term vision.
To ensure that we are focusing on the right issues, we have conducted a double materiality analysis based on ESRS. It shows which sustainability areas are the most important to both our business and our stakeholders. The work is grouped in four focus areas: climate, resource efficiency, employees, and responsible business practices.
Our focus areas
Climate
Our approach to climate focuses on reducing our environmental impact through the implementation of climate calculations in accordance with the GHG protocol, energy efficiency measures, and developed tracking of emissions throughout the value chain. The work covers both the business itself and the dialogues and collaborations we have with suppliers.
Resource efficiency
By implementing materials optimisation in product development, production, and recycling, we aim to use resources in a more efficient way. Scrap metal is recycled and circular working methods are being continuously developed to reduce resource use and preserve the value of materials over time.
Employees
Having a safe and secure working environment is fundamental to any sustainable business. We work tirelessly on working environment, health, safety, wellness, and skills development to create good conditions for our employees.
Responsible business practices
Quality, business ethics, regulatory compliance, and maintaining sustainable supplier relationships are at the forefront of our approach. By implementing clear processes for monitoring, risk assessment, and supplier dialogues, we enhance transparency and strengthen responsibility throughout the value chain.

Documents and declarations
In order to create transparency, we report our sustainability work in the form of a series of reports, declarations, and independent assessments. For many years, we have worked to reduce the environmental impact of our products. Through our third-party verified environmental product declarations (EPDs), we openly report the environmental impact of our products giving our customers a transparent basis on which to make climate-conscious material choices.
