Bending

Bending involves the plate being processed in an press brake to the specified shape. Edge pressing is a very important element of the sheet metal working process to ensure that we can deliver a complete sheet metal product. Weland has extensive experience in bending or edge pressing of sheet metal and works according to your specific wishes to deliver components that work well for your manufacturing. Weland can combine edge pressing of parts together with other types of sheet metal processing for the desired result. As a company, we are at the vanguard of developments in respect of bending. Our modern machines can handle most materials and dimensions. A wide range of standard tools afford us the opportunity to quickly start production of a new project at a low cost. Edge presses for efficient bending of sheet metal

Weland has about 10 edge presses in different sizes. Bending is performed by CNC-operated edge press machines. The edge pressing is performed as a finishing step after laser and water-jet cutting. Our edge presses have a capacity of 40 to 800 tonnes.

Our 800-tonne capacity edge press allows us to take on work very few companies can do. The press force of a whopping 800 tonnes and maximum working length of 6200 mm inspire respect. Add to this a sophisticated CNC control unit, and we have a unique resource at Weland. Our latest edge press has a pressing power of 320 tons and with a maximum working length of 4100 mm.
