It’s that time of year again – Nordbygg is upon us and, of course, we’ll be there along with representatives from all our subsidiaries. We’re looking forward to showing you a selection of all the exciting things that are happening within the Weland Group.

Is this the spiral staircase of the future?
On the opening day of the fair, Tuesday 23 April, we’re going to be showcasing the winning entry from the competition for architecture students that we ran in conjunction with Architects Sweden during the autumn and winter of last year. At our stand, you’ll have the opportunity to meet victorious designer August Håkansson Orsvall and see his winning entry, Artär. A spiral staircase with a design that really challenges traditional architectural thinking. It’s something you simply can’t miss!

Your most important step
We will also be unveiling a completely new staircase model at the fair. The new Spiral Staircase JOS has been designed and developed primarily for use as a safe, stable evacuation staircase. Of course, it also performs excellently in other types of environment where functionality and industrial design are key considerations.

We have focused on developing a staircase that has as little environmental impact as possible. Its design means that it weighs less than a traditional spiral staircase and allows us to employ a highly energy efficient production line. However, this focus has not come at the expense of the levels of stability and safety you’ve come to expect from a Weland staircase. They are as present as ever.

As with everything we have ever done, we will continue to develop and adapt our product offering with meeting the needs of the future in mind, and this staircase represents a clear step in that direction. Come and experience the future at our stand!
