From concept to final product – 100% Swedish
Whether it’s a railing solution for an office environment or a robust industrial setting, the initial question is always the same: What’s the purpose, and how do we create the best solution?
For us, every assignment begins with a conversation. Our customers usually come to us with some background information and a concept. We then take these ideas and breathe life into them. It may be an architect, a property owner, or a contractor who needs a railing that satisfies both functional requirements and aesthetic considerations.
Together, we run through the relevant criteria: Where will the railing be located? Are there any child safety requirements? Is the railing to be used in an indoor or an outdoor environment? This part of the process is just as important as the fabrication itself – it’s here that we create the basis for producing a really good solution.
The baton is then passed to our design team, who produce models and technical documentation. In respect of safety, accessibility, and durability, our approach is compliant with Swedish Board of Housing, Building and Planning regulations (BBR), as well as relevant EN standards and other requirements.
– It’s our responsibility to deliver a product that works in the real world – it’s got to be safe, sustainable, and always compliant with applicable building regulations, says Jakob Josefsson, Product Developer at Weland.
Made in Sweden
All railings are manufactured in Weland’s own production facilities in Sweden, where modern machinery and skilled employees work together to ensure quality at all stages of the manufacturing process. The fact that all fabrication takes place in Sweden has many advantages for our customers. It shortens lead times, enables full production control, and ensures a degree of collaboration throughout the process that would otherwise be unachievable.
– It’s key to allowing us to offer fast deliveries, a high level of delivery accuracy, and a product that customers can trust, says Josefsson.
At Weland, we have a wide range of standard railings in stock at all times. Our warehouse shelves are replete with railing components for fast delivery. We make our stock parts in large production units, ensuring that we never have empty shelves.
Bespoke solutions
For projects that require something out of the ordinary, we offer bespoke solutions. We customise according to requirements – be they particular dimensions, colours, or other specific needs – all to ensure that we can satisfy the demands of each unique project.
Once the railing has been delivered and installed, we know that it will be there for many years to come.
– It’s a responsibility we take very seriously – function, safety, and sustainability are vital considerations. For us, a railing is not just a product, it’s part of a turnkey solution that needs to last for a long time. The fact that our railings are 100% Swedish provides our customers with an added level of assurance, says Josefsson.
