Weland is driving towards a greener future
The three new company vans excited much attention when they rolled quietly into Weland's carpark last week.
Weland is investing in the environment
As part of its commitment to environmental issues, Weland has purchased three Renault Kangoo Maxi Z.E. electric vans.
Three charging stations have been installed at the Smålandsstenar factory, and the plan is to use the electric vans mainly for short local runs.
"We are very proud of the electric vans and, for that reason, we have chosen to stripe them in a way that is typical for electric vehicles," says Mattias Andersson, Market Manager at Weland.
Mattias goes on to say that when driven below 30 km/h, the electric vans emit a faint buzzing sound, which provides a warning to pedestrians and cyclists. The Renault Kangoo Maxi Z.E. has an approximate range of 270 km at an average speed of 50 km/h and it has 4.3m³ of space which is ample for Weland's needs.
The electric vans provide a welcome means of visiting the many customers and partners that Weland has in the region.
