Integrated solution for Rindö harbour
Weland has provided Rindö harbour in Vaxholm with an integrated solution comprising platforms, spiral staircases and steps. Rindö harbour is a marine training site which offers a range of courses in marine and fire safety.
The project focused on creating a safe, maintenance-free platform for use in evacuation training exercises.
"This project meant that we could use a number of products from our range and put many of our skills into practice," says Mattias Andersson, Market Manager at Weland.
Weland has provided Rindö harbour with a spiral staircase with a protective cage, a platform, straight flight staircases and railings. Weland was involved in the project from the planning stage to completion. The spiral staircase is a hot-dip galvanised steel structure with matching steel steps.
"This is a long-life, high-strength product that requires minimum maintenance," says Mattias Andersson.
Quick evacuation and short delivery times
Weland's spiral staircases are designed to provide underfoot comfort to facilitate a safe and speedy evacuation. Rescue efforts involving a stretcher can also be performed on spiral stairs with a large radius. Provided that standard components are used, Weland is able to offer short delivery times for evacuation and industrial spiral staircases.
